Two-Factor Authentication is coming to the Solo Portal to improve account security.
Here are some key parts of the new "2FA" process:
- You can use a one-time code sent to your email address (same email address your authenticating to Solo Portal with)
- Alternately, you can connect an Authenticator App and use a one-time code generated from the app
- In either case, you have the option to "trust" the browser you are authenticating in for 30 days, so that during your next login a 2FA challenge will not be shown (until the 30 days expires)
Below are the steps to use the new system.
New Login Page
When you arrive to https://solo.liveu.tv you will see a new login page.
You start with the same email address and password you currently use to log in to the solo portal.
Two-Factor Challenge
When logging in from a browser that is not already "trusted", you will receive a 2FA challenge. You can choose which 2FA method you want to use.
Using an authenticator app will require a one-time setup of the app to link it to your account.
Enter the One Time Code
Once you choose a method, you can enter the one time code that you received via either method.
Here you can also choose to trust this browser for up to 30 days, so that the next login from that same device and browser will not present the 2FA challenge (until the 30 days expires).
When to Contact Support
Please contact support if either of these situations apply to you:
- You do not have access to the email for the email address you use to log in - this can occur if you used an email address you no longer have access to when initially registering. Please either use the "Change Email" option under the Account Info page from inside the portal or contact support if this is the case.
- You are an organization using a shared login to your solo portal account, where more than one user users the same login information.
For multi-user organizations, a version of Solo Portal that supports multi-user accounts is in the works. For now, contact support for the current work-around to the 2FA change for your organization.
