GENERIC RTMP DESTINATIONS:
Generic RTMP destinations simply means that there is no authentication needed. The destination will only provide one of the three following scenarios if it falls in the category:
-RTMP URL+Stream Key (i.e. [rtmp://testurl.liveu.tv/Str34mk3y])
-RTMP URL with a separate Stream Key (i.e. [rtmp://testurl.liveu.tv] [St34mk3y])
-RTMP URL, a backup URL with a stream Key (i.e. [rtmp://a.testurl.liveu.tv] [rtmp://b.testurl.liveu.tv] [St34mk3y])
Generic Destinations will look like the following in our portal and include (but not limited to) destinations such as UStream, Jstream or Psynaps as a few examples.
DESTINATIONS WITH AUTHENTICATION:
Destinations that use Authentication will include all of the above information with the addition of a Username and Password. This Username/Password combo should not be confused with the login credentials for the provider but rather it will be provided alongside the 3 scenarios listed above. Destinations using Authentication will look like the following and include (but not limited to) destinations such as DaCast, Level 3, or Wowza as a few examples.
