Your LiveU Solo may have come with an HDMI clip to help you relieve tension from the HDMI cable. This is our solution since HDMI connectors, unlike the more professional oriented BNC connector for SDI, doesn't lock into place. Thus its easy to accidentally tug the cable out of the side of the Solo when running around for those great shots.
The tension clip lets you make a small loop of cable, insuring that if there is a tug on the cable its not directly pulling the cable out of the unit.
Here is the intended position of the clip with modems installed in the pouch:
To install the clip, simply tuck the elastic band into the two openings on the outer edges of the clip:
Then, push up the elastic band until the whole band is inside the rectangular opening, letting the bottom fill in the bottom part of the opening:
Then, route your HDMI cable through the clip - you can use either side, but we have found the side furthest from the HDMI port seems to work best as it gives you a bit of slack on the cable:
