There are newer Huawei modems, that use a "-320" suffix or "-325" suffix, but share the same starting part of the model number with previous models (E8732, E3372, etc.). These "-320" and "-325" variants are supported as of:
- "-320" suffix - firmware version 7.1.0.
- "-325" suffix:
- LiveU Solo: 7.2.0.C16198.G33f1dd284
- LiveU Solo PRO: 9.7.3.C2708.Ga1df6b5be
New Update in 2023
The new generation of Huawei modems are out, now with the "-325" suffix. Support for these modems requires the latest firmware on both Solo and Solo PRO, as well as the latest firmware on your Huawei modem. Huawei -325 modems are support on the follow LiveU Solo firmwares:
- LiveU Solo: 7.2.0.C16198.G33f1dd284
- LiveU Solo PRO: 9.7.3.C2708.Ga1df6b5be
In addition to the above versions, you must make sure your Huawei -325 modems are on at least the following firmware version on the dongle itself:
- 3.0.2.62 (H057SP19C983)
- 3.0.2.61 (H057SP7C983)
Please note: the Huawei firmware must match exactly above, including the build numbers (H057SP19C983 and H057SP7C983). It is possible to have a Huawei modem on the correct version number (such as 3.0.2.62) but wrong build number and those cases do not work with LiveU Solo.
Lastly, even when fully functioning, this generation of modems do not appear to allow you to set the IP address or subnet mask used, thus, you cannot avoid an IP Conflict in using two. Due to this, only 1 "-325" modem will work at a time in either Solo or Solo PRO.
