You may find when using Solo Connect, or using 3rd party modems, that sometimes those modems will show up with the name of the network its connected to. For example, it may show Verizon 4G in the connects list - both on the unit user interface and in the Solo Portal under the Status section of the dashboard.
However, sometimes the 3rd party modems do not include a way to query which network and technology they are connected to. In these cases, the modem may show as "No Name" in the list, or even just as a blank field. This can be confusing as it may then look like that modem is not working.
This is only a side-effect of the missing method to query those modems - they are still working properly! If the unit shows with a green icon in the Connections list on the unit, and if the unit shows the right number of connections in total - then the modems is verified working by the unit and is ready to use.
