Solo Stream Tools includes some new features for your audio component of your stream. This article will explain what's new and show you how to use these new tools.
Preview and VU Meter
On the new Solo Stream Tools Control Panel, you will get a preview of the video and audio being streamed, even if you are remote from the unit. Do note that preview is not full resolution or frame rate so may visually appear at a diffferent quality then your actual output stream.
In addition to being able to hear and monitor the audio as part of the preview, when you have audio unmuted in the prieview, you will now get a VU meter of the audio level, to help you visually monitor the audio as well.
Mono to Stereo
If Solo Stream. Tools receives a mono stream, it automatically copes the single channel into two so that the output of the Solo Stream Tools engine is always stereo.
Volume Slider
In the Solo Stream Tools Control Panel, you will also see a new Volume slider. This lets you either increase (boost) incoming audio, or decrease (soften) it. The middle point of the slider is no change - same audio level as is being input to the unit. All the way down will mute the audio (resulting in an audio stream with no volume - note, it does not result in no audio stream delivered).
The top of the slider is about a 4x boost to the incoming audio.
