Your LiveU Solo has a new mode, with no firmware update necessary on the unit itself! It is called Low Delay Mode and is available when using LRT (Bonding). It sets the delay from the unit to the cloud bonding service to 1 second.
The previous default, High Resiliency mode, uses 5 seconds. You can toggle back and forth between the two modes at any time.
When Do I Use A Particular Mode?
If you never noticed an issue with the previous default of 5 second delay, don't have time sensitive content, or know you will be in a situation where bandwidth may be challenging (poor cell reception for every modem you have, can only use a single connection that day, etc.) - stick to High Resiliency mode. The extra seconds let us do more to insure packets get delivered to the cloud.
But if you have content that is sensitive to when it makes it to the end-user (sports might be a good example) and have multiple connections to bond, try out Low Delay mode with its reduced latency and see if it helps your workflow or end-users experience!
